this is for you cracker!

Today at work I bought something that our apartment has been looking for. Any guesses? Mistletoe!! I was out changing the trash and a little boy was selling it for a dollar. I made him wait and I ran inside to get my dollar. Ho told me that he climbed up trees to get it. He wasn't sure what he was going to do with the money he was making but he was worried about running out of time to get people gifts before christmas. I know the feeling.

The whole experience gave me that christmasy tingle inside. It seems like that doesn't happen that much anymore and the question is whether its me or the world around me...or both. I saw a pole while I was working out today that over 60% of people say 'happy holidays' instead of 'Merry Christmas'. What happened to baby Jesus and Bethlehem? It seems like today Christmas is just an excuse to get gifts and go into debt.

Hey, why does Jay post on your blog??he got there from mine! ;)
Mistle toe...I forgot to get it this year oops!! As for the real meaning of Christmas...you are right, no one wants to commit to the TRUE meaning of Christmas CHRIST!! BABY JESUS!! why do we call it Christmas? we don't call it holidaymas... hmmm...the biggest pet peeve I have this time of year is when people write x-mas What does that mean? x what does it stand for? x wasn't born to free us from our sins and to give His life to die for us so we could spend eternity with him. WHO IS X???
Christ on the other hand! WOW...
OK...soap box is done!

And

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!

just so you understand my moms last comment...at work when you're new, they refer to you as the 'green bean' because coffee beans are green when they are first picked. As they are roasted they become darker. Beans like french roast, which as the boldest and darkest bean we have at Starbucks, are roasted the longest, hence that they are the darkest, get it? It should be noted though that the longer the roasting process the less acidity and the less caffiene. Darker does not mean more caffiene :)

They say I'm roasting nicely!

Brenda, thanks for that...It is good! I may even post it on my blog! but, unless you can send people to that site I will stick with writing the whole thing out! Too many people are about the presents and not His Presence.
Nikki, roasting nicely? are the beans color wearing off on you? haha...and funny that that was (is)your nickname! I guess you are at the right job!!
